Project Proposal: I propose to investigate the extent to which 3D software can be utilised as a medium to digital installation and animation based work. Primarily researching the aesthetic qualities of virtual structures and how the use of scale and space can be manipulated to immerse the viewer within different experiences. The Kinetic Chaotic was developed as a response to capture by animated digital means the creative frenzy that is the Digital Arts Online Seminar Chat Forum at 1:30pm BST each Tuesday(17/10/06 especially). The digital form continually reforms and deconstructs symbolising the threads of discussion as they briefly attain stability before exploding into random threads each with its own creative flux. It is representative of an entity that is both highly dynamic and invigorating but equally chaotic and confusing. JOHN BAUGH |
